Archie and JD were unable to make it today due to work obligations so Peter and myself opted not to miss out on the high winds.
Left Shell Beach Marina at 10:30 am and arrived at Runway Beach at 1:00 pm . A lovely but pressured row and maintained 4 plus knots throughout . A bit unstable and a bit hard to row with the winds off the stern quarters but we were light with two people missing and little ballast onboard . Straight downwind was a dream ! Anchored up close to the beach and had lunch and then got a tow back home from my good friend Richard King in the GREENFIG .
Peter , a master shipwright , got out his tools this week and started some modifications on the boat’s interior , hope Angus and Charlie don’t get a heart attack when they see it . A few more mods to come ! Also put on two rod holders , hoping to vary our menu .
Check out LUCKY ( Native North American father and Trinidadian Indian mother ) on the bow showing us the way home !
