Had a great day yesterday out rowing with the boys. We met up at shell Beach marina to put the ” Wa’omoni ” in the water. We made sure we had everything then rowed out of the marina straight into the wind doing just about 2 knots. Hugh Bailey join us today . He’s a good friend of mine and Doc’s . He came and calibrated our autopilot and man that made everything so much easier for us. Big thanks Hugh. Once he gave us the o.k that autopilot was working we cruise down the coast taking shifts rowing. I went in the cabin to lay down and get a feeling of what it was going to be like. Wasn’t that bad. Quiet relaxing hearing the water hitting the side of the boat. Eddie Barreto came down in Doc’s small boat with two of Doc’s grand kids and gave us a tow back up to shell beach. Not a bad day . Still getting the feel for it but so far I’m enjoying it and can’t wait to start the race.
