Had a good four hour row yesterday down the north coast of the island during which we deployed out the sea anchor , this being one of the mandatory requirements to qualify to enter. It went smoothly without any hitches ; most of the crew use these , actually much larger ones , when they deep bottom fish or go fad fishing to keep them stationary . Still , we were all a bit surprised at how efficiently it instantly stopped the boat and kept it where it was in spite of fifteen to eighteen knots of wind conditions .
I took Aiden , one of my grandchildren , with us . He had a great time , ? future Atlantic Rower .
